Hello! My name is Charlotte. I live in sunny Long Beach, California and I am a candidate for the Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art at CSULB (go Beach!). I am originally from Tijuana, México where I took painting lessons as a child at summer camps and eventually, as a teenager, I got to teach in the same place where I learned!
My family and I moved to the Bay Area and we lived there for several years. I went onto study Cinema in San Francisco State University (go Gators!). Shortly after starting work in Hollywood, I realized I was more of a hands-on person and left to work for theater as a scenic painter. I fell in love with the feel of labor and the accomplishment of painting large stages, and in recent years, I've worked doing colorful backgrounds in music videos and short films.
I recently went back to school to learn more about art and decided I want to teach. During my free time, I work on my personal art, cook, write, and ride my bicycle!
